At First Presbyterian Church of Jefferson City, you are welcome! Join a supportive church family committed to care, compassion, and love.
Sunday School 9:30am
Church Street Cafe on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month will be by grab-n-go at curbside.
Located in the heart of downtown Jefferson City, TN, First Presbyterian Church is a uniquely vibrant place. Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. At FPC, you will be embraced by a community that is both tightly knit and warmly welcoming. You will find a church family committed to caring for one another, devoted to mission, and dedicated to thinking about our faith in open conversation together. Our worship is traditional, yet filled with movement, laughter, and acceptance. There's a place at FPC for everyone to engage with others and connect in fellowship, study, worship, and mission.
We invite you to join us this Sunday, and we hope you will find the refreshment and joy that come with being part of a community committed to following Jesus and loving each other along the way.
We seek to express love, as exhibited by our Lord Jesus Christ, to all we encounter.
We seek to accept others as we meet them, recognizing that we are all flawed and in need of acceptance.
We seek to be non-judgmental and ready to encourage and support our neighbors.
We seek to serve others, beginning with each other and extending beyond our doors to the world.
Matthew 25:31–46 calls all of us to actively engage in the world around us, seeking out Jesus Christ among the "least of these." Convicted by this passage, we feel called to act boldly and compassionately to serve people who are hungry, oppressed, imprisoned or poor. We are part of a nation-wide movement in the Presbyterian Church (USA) committed to three areas of focus:
In accepting the Matthew 25 invitation, we have joined 866 congregations, 69 presbyteries, and 10 synods (including our own Synod of the Living Waters) that have chosen to embrace the call!
