LENTEN SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS—During this season of Lent, Dave will be leading a Sunday School class on the doctrine of atonement. Starting February 18 and through Palm Sunday, we will meet in the Fellowship Hall to explore various approaches to understanding the atonement, sacrifice, and its relationship to the person and work of Jesus. What does it mean to imagine the life and ministry, suffering and rejection, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus as atonement? What do we mean when we speak of Christ’s sacrifice for us? How does belief in the atonement shape our life as a community of faith? Come join us to study and discuss this central concept of the faith!
